Not really a review per se, but just to touch on a couple of previous threads:

I've had this sample (my last) for over a year. Construction, draw, and burn

were all first rate. It started out with the taste of Chinese tea, with not much

else, and never really developed past that. Rather insipid. Reminded me of

previous samples I've tried.

Jimmy asked, in a previuos thread, Siglo VI or CoRo - CoRo hands down for

me (subject to change, of course)

I tried anotherr Siglo 6 Tubo this week, and I have had counterfeits that were far better than the real deal.

Every Siglo 6 I have tried has been down right BLAHHHHHH

Siglo 4s too.

I also have a box of 1998 Siglo 3s and those arent even to die for.

I will stick with #1s and the #2s. My thinking is the rest of the line is a waist of money. Pretty tasteless but expensive

I would pick a Cohiba Robusto over a Siglo VI 9 times out of 10.

I find Trinidad Robusto Extra to be more inconsistent yet again.

I though it might just be me. It is curious that these seem to garner either high

praise....... or not.

That is strange. I've tried probably somewhere around 10 VIs and all but one were outstanding. The best cigar I've ever smoked. My favorite.

The IV is my #2.

Maybe you should try a different source. Or if you buy from the shops here at this site, I don't know what to say.

But the VI and IV is surely not a blah stick.

I agree completely. Every VI I have had - and that is quite a few - have been f'in awesome. I find the whole line to be quite good and fairly consistent. But the CoRo? You can't go wrong no way no how!

it is nice to see that at least a couple of people got this right.

the vast majority of mine (VI's) were ones i purchased in havana in the first year or two of production, and i have topped up from rob now and then.

almost without exception, they have been magic (those from rob are younger but show every sign of heading down the same glorious path).

this is not to disparage the coro at all but as far as i am concerned, the only solution to too much of a good thing is even more of the same.

love the VI!!

I am sorry to see some not enjoying the VI and CoRo. These are two of my go to special sticks and satisfy me most of the time, with only an occasional flat one. I think the POW R&J is a piece of **** waste of time but I heard one bloke singing about them. I did not argue with him cause his palate is differt than mine.

I do buy %80 of what I need From Lisa and Rob. Could be me. Also , as of late, everything I smoke tastes Dominican. Been this way for 2 weeks now.

I dont even crave a cigar dureing the day.

I will be going back to the Dom Rep. for the 1st week of Feb. So Starting today , I cut down from 3-6 a day to 1 cigar erery 3 days or more.

Buds might be burnt out right now

If I were a gambling man, I'd be willing to bet that the VIs I've had have been

dormant. But I'd be hard pressed to buy more based on the samples I've had so

far.

I do agree that too much of a good thing is still agood thing! Though I don't think

I'll be calling any cigars magic sticks.......

I have to agree with Ken. The Siglo VI from 03 I had were absolutely outstanding. The 04's are just now coming into their own. I think all cigars need 3 years of age on them to really be enjoyed as they should. Of course, that requires inventory, especially if you are more than an occasional smoker.

The same holds true with Coros. I got a box from Lisa last year from 01- hated to see them fly out of the humidor so quick!

Yes, I have some 03's also and that are outstanding. Much better than my 01 Esplendidos.

The Sig VI's have more complex/bold and interesting flavors than the Esplendido which is more one dimensionsal and subtle not that thats a bad thing with a Cohiba but the Sig VI are just tastier IMO.

I have to agree with Ken and skindiver.

Siglo VI are/can be superb cigars. Those from my box of '03 were great from the get-go, but then went into a dumb period for about 18 months. What's left of them have been solid five smoke-ring cigars in recent months. I have a newer box (untouched) sitting patiently in my Aristocrat. I will get to it in due time (2008).
