mgillett Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 don't mind the stupid snakes. It is the clever ones that make it into our backyard over summer that I am not too keen on.

Miami101 Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 In FLA we are having a major issue with snakes: Check out this link to a news: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12267540/
12stones Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 » In FLA we are having a major issue with snakes: » Check out this link to a news: » » http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12267540/ That's going to make an unbelievable mess after the snake's done digesting it. For those of you who've never owned a snake, the enzymes in the snake's stomach digest the meat and muscle but not the hair and bones which are eventually regurgitated in a slimy mass. Hope I didn't gross anyone out too much. But, for those of you thinking you might want to own a snake, you might think twice. ;-)

Ken Gargett Posted November 15, 2008 Author Posted November 15, 2008 some photos of less than clever snakes that may interest some. have done this in several posts as site kept dumping me out. this one swallowed an electric blanket. text to follow.
Ken Gargett Posted November 15, 2008 Author Posted November 15, 2008 they operated and saved the snake. no word on the blanket. then we have the trying to swallow the pregnant sheep. eventually it tossed it back up (seems a shame having gone to so much trouble). no word on what the villagers did to the snake after that but one suspects it did not have a happy future.
Ken Gargett Posted November 15, 2008 Author Posted November 15, 2008 and finally we have the snake which tried to swallow the gator but exploded. not a win-win for either i would have thought.
Tampa1257 Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 » and finally we have the snake which tried to swallow the gator but » exploded. not a win-win for either i would have thought. » » I remember this happening. It happened in the Everglades here in Florida. The snake was a Burmese Python, which are not native to this country. Someone had a pet and decided to set it free in the wild and they are quickly getting out of control and growing rather large. If you live in South Florida or near the Everglades, you might want to be careful!
skid11 Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Here's a couple of photos from an earlier post....... It would seem that size doesn't put off a hungry snake ( the food is a kangaroo)
