Mark Twain Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 I haven't tried either, but want to. How do they compare to each other? How do they differ? Which one is the better value? I'd love to buy a box of each, but my budget might let me get away with only one before Christmas so I need some help.
Tampa1257 Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 » I haven't tried either, but want to. How do they compare to each other? The RASCC is a "Minutos" (4 3/8 x 42rg), exactly the same size as a Partagas Short or a Bolivar Corona Junior. A ERDM Lunch Club is a "Franciscanos" (4 5/8 x 40rg), which is smaller in rg than a RASCC and slightly longer. The flavors are night and day different. The ERDM is a medium bodied "doughy bread" type of flavor which the RASCC is a bold sweet & spicy and earthy cigar. While I enjoy both, the clear winner for me would be the RASCC, which is more of a daily type of cigar vs an ERDM which would be a change of pace cigar for me.
VigorishSLC Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Given the choice on any given day, I'd go with a RASCC 9 out of 10 times.
shrink Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 RASSC, fo' sho'. But Bill, considering the low prices currently being offered, why don't you just knock off the 'C' and get the RASS? A much better smoke, IMO.

I know the sizes, I was referring to the fact that these are similarly priced at the moment. Thanks for the comments. I think I'll go with the RASCC if I can.

Your question was what are the similarities and differences between the two cigars. I do believe from reading your previous posts, that the RASCC will be more to your liking.
El Presidente Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Ramon Allones Small Club Corona Cohiba Siglo 1 San Cristobal Principe Bolivar Corona Junior Daylight next.
Diselfitter Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 Tampa... I have to agree with you on the Comparision/Difference between the two. Hands down I would opt for the RASCC...The ERDM lunch club is ok, but not what I perfer especially in a cigar this size. Great Advice Chuck. Deez

Never had a problem with one.
stevejb Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 I'm in the minority, but I prefer the lunch club. RA's do less for me the more I smoke them.
