I turned on CNN this morning hoping they had finally made a decision in regards to whether thee bastard should live or die, he's sentenced to hang!

Court rules ex-dictator should hang

The death sentence pronounced against former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein is provoking a mixed reaction in Iraq. He and two other defendants were found guilty for their roles in a bloody 1982 crackdown in the Shiite town of Dujail, Iraq.

what does everyone think? is this democracy in action, i think it is! comment on this turn of events, i say he deserves it, the only really good thgings he ever did was stock pile ferraris and cuban cigars!!

I applaud this decision, it was made in a court of law in a fair way and with all kinds of pressure coming from the outside... its a good start if you ask me

don't agree with that, stockpiling only kept law abiding lunch time dictators such as ourselves from getting our hands on the smokes he put away! :-D

Churchill smoking cigars = good look

Saddam smoking cigars = not so good

mobutu of zaire stockpiled much, including vast sums of money, jewels and vintage port. i was always amused to see that he had many cases from his birth year, from memory, for which he had paid well. only problem was that it was not a declared year. someone had dudded him big time. brave man.

i remember travelling through zaire about 20 years ago and in the middle of nowehere towards the east of the country, came across a small village. it was a bizarre place as it had properly paved roads, the first we'd seen since algiers, and street lamps, though they didn't work, and footpaths and more. but all this only went for about a kilometre. apparently, this was his mum's village so he had this useless work done. and then let it rot. he should have been hanged decades earlier. same for saddam. world would have been a better place.

he is allowed one crack at it but only if the wicket is quicker than wet ice and we have four quicks (not mediums, quicks) and it is so overcast he needs the lights on at midday. otherwise, the sentence is to read warnie's autobiography. not even warnie himslef has done that!

lol i totally agree, I was of course only joking, a cousin of mine spent seven years with the SAS including being involved in peace keeping operations, in 1990-1991 he assisted in efforts to help Kuwait and New Zealanders/aussies trying to escape from Iraq, saddam is a good example of how one man can evoke so much hatred and comparitively love through his evil and in-humane actions.

p.s does anyone know where i can find cuban davidoffs, perignon or no.1's and 2's thanks :-P
