First Lady Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Hi Everyone If you are not receiving a response to your e-mails the reason is I am experiencing large amounts of bounced e-mail returns. Please check that you haven't got me blacklisted (Rob I can understand but me :-D ) or that your Spam filter hasn't blocked us. I just wanted to clarify the problem so that no one is offended . Back to your normal daily programme :-D TFL Some of the servers that have blocked our e-mail address is Comcast and sbcglobal. If you have either of these servers you will need to e-mail the company and ask for our e-mail clubczar.com to be taken off the spam list
manny816 Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Thanks Lisa. That explains it, I have a Comcast account.
gmh Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Hi Lisa, I suspect this is my problem as well. The last e-mail special I got was 9/11/06 (or 11/9/06 your way). I have written to Comcast and will post their response. Gary

bgoodz Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Thanks Lisa, I've checked my spam software and do not have you filtered must be on the provider side all of a sudden. I do get the email notifications for forum thread responses though.
anacostiakat Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 I have comcast and have asked them to take you off the list if that is the reason for the bounces. I also reset the spam/screened mail setting and marked your addy as "not spam". However I sent you an email and still have not got anything back. :-(

I have Comcast, and didn't see a spot to mark individual senders as not spam. Only to turn the filter off completly.

gmh Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Here is my e-mail to Comcast: The issue is that I do not receive e-mail from this one particular sender. They say they have replied, but I have not received the reply. I have checked all my junk and trash folders and have the They say they have had "large amounts of bounced e-mail returns" in particular from Comcast and sbcglobal. They have no reason to lie about this. They (and I) suspect that you have labeled them as a spammer and filter all e-mails from them before they reach any of your customers. You admit that you do this in the following excerpt from your FAQ: When I try to email a Comcast.net address I get a bounce back message with a 550 with a link to this page. What does this mean? If you were directed to this FAQ via a link in an error message it is because you are sending mail from an IP address that is changing its Reverse Domain Name System (rDNS) frequently. Spammers often forge the rDNS of their connection in order to bypass spam filtering software. In Comcast's ongoing efforts to reduce the amount of spam that reaches our subscribers we must limit connections from an IP that may change its rDNS frequently in a set amount of time. The question is how can I receive e-mail from this sender? And the reply from Comcast: Thank you for your message concerning the Comcast High-Speed Internet service. After reviewing your e-mail, it appears as though there might be an issue with blocked e-mail from clubczar.com. To ensure correct handling of this issue, the mail administrator for the sending domain will need to submit a "blacklist removal request" to: [email protected] This is not something you can do; it is something THEY must do. Customer Security Assurance cannot address blacklist issues from individual customers. When sending in the e-mail, suggest the mail administrator include a copy of the e-mail header, as well as the mail server names with corresponding IP addresses. The sender will want to review the error message received provided within the bounce back message. The included links will help resolve this issue when a blocked IP sends e-mail to the Comcast.net domain: BL001 http://www.comcast.net/help/faq/index.jsp?...ail_Policy18625 BL002 http://www.comcast.net/help/faq/index.jsp?...ail_Policy18626 BL003 http://www.comcast.net/help/faq/index.jsp?...ail_Policy18627 BL004 http://www.comcast.net/help/faq/index.jsp?...ail_Policy18628 Please note that Comcast is not blocking individual senders, but only mail servers that have sent high volumes of spam to the Comcast.net domain. I have forwarded this to Lisa and Rob in hopes that something can be done to get us Comcast customers back in the fold. Sorry that this isn't a more pleasant discussion about great cigars. Gary
