DrAlejandro
» Is it recommended to freeze cigars before long-term storage to prevent » beatles from hatching? well I know some guys that freeze ALL their cigars before putting them in the humi but I think its going a bit overboard... doesnt hurt the cigars as far as I know if you do it right but if you keep them at a good temp and humidity I doubt you'll have any problems... Colt45
There are a number of informative threads on this subject. Do a search, and you should find them easily. Personally, I don't do it. If you do, you really need to deep freeze them. Happy reading!
Tampa1257
Yes, there is a VERY good feature we have here called Search This very subject continues to come up every other month or so, and a quick look should provide all the Historical threads and posts about the subject. Here is one of the more recent threads about Freezing cigars: [link]http://www.friendsofhabanos.com/board_entry.php?id=28545#p28545[/link] I have never had to freeze my cigars for the past 25+ years of smoking and storing them. Seeing as how you are in FL, I'm assuming temps get up there. Are you using a temperature controlled Humi?

Model, price range and humidity control used. Also, have you (Chuck) or anyone else for that matter, gotten any recent updates or timetables about the FOH temp/humidity controlled unit that Rob has been planning? Thanks. PorscheC4S
Bump to Tampa (Chuck). I've been looking at thermoelectric wine coolers and am curious as to condensation inside if the door is left open too long, what humidity regulation is used in these types of coolers (Cigar Oasis?), if a model with a digital thermostat is a must have and about any possible pitfalls to avoid. Thanks in advance. PS Any news about the FOH wine cooler/humidor that's been in the works?

We are having a unit delivered here to Czar House. We will fully stock it, do a photo shoot and monitor it's progress over the course of a month where we will publish the daily results.
