DocRKS
» French Millitary Rifle » Never been used » Only been dropped once.:-D » » GO ITALY!! 1st off - the rifles were dropped TWICE (2 World-Wars !!!) 2nd - In the words of Gen. Geo. S. Patton, "I'd rather be facing a German Division in front of me than be counting on a French Division guarding my back." 3rd - In the words of Ted Nugent, as he was being interviewed by a British journalist. The journalist asked, "What do you think the last thought is in the head of a deer before you shoot it? Is it, `Are you my friend?` or is it `Are you the one who killed my brother?'" Nugent replied, "They aren't capable of that kind of thinking. All they care about is, 'What am I going to eat next, who am I going to screw next, and can I run fast enough to get away. They are very much like the French in that way." 4th - GO ITALY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Remember what the submarine Captain said when an enemy destroyer started shooting at them........."DIVE !!!! DIVE !!!!!!! DIVE !!!!!!!"
Wiley
In the interest of fairness, the Germans were the fatalists in WWI, not the French. And the French did pretty well in WWI. The Austro-Hungarians were the most incompetent in that war. Also, the Napolean French rolled up most of Europe not that long ago. And no, I have not one drop of French ancestry. However, I think we have a French member or two that you guys have probably really pissed off.
DocRKS
c'est la guerre......... If you take seriously everything written on a Forum where ball breaking is such an integral part of the experience - you will find many more reasons for hard feelings than were ever dreamt of or intended..... El Presidente
Wiley. How do you think our Kiwi members feel Ausies take pot shots at everyone....no one more than themselves. If anyone from any country is truely offended, don't be. Give as good as you get! ;-) I have a great mate in Singapore who rang me the morning after Australia lost to Italy 1-0 asking "hey Rob....I missed the game...what was the score?" After I called him a SOB I started ragging him on Singapores illustrious history of sporting success. He finished with a classic: "Hey Rob, remember....no one was ever sent to Australia because they had a lot of friends" :rotfl:
