I HATE QANTAS

Recommended Posts

i just wanted to say that - i suspect the prez will delete it but i want it on record for at least a few minutes.

they could not run a bath.

currently hours late on friday night coming home from melbourne and flight just delayed again. flights all day stuffed. they could not tie laces. the midday service from melb to syd left at 6.30pm. and they were one of the lucky ones.

I HATE QANTAS!!!!

i may hate them less tomorrow but only if i am home.

Hey Ken,

Why not fly Virgin Blue? Their lounge is great, the service is acceptable, flights cheap, and the female personnel is easy on the eyes. I suspect that the opposite is true with Qantas.

I put QANTAS service alongside Garuda, China Air and Pakistani Air (PTA ....known in the trade as "PrayTo Allah" Air).

Fly Virgin Domestically. Singapore Air to Asia and Europe. The only problem is when flying to the US....the only choice is Qantas or American Arlines. The sooner the government opens up this route the better.

Yeah, Rob, then you'll get to fly United!

Singapore is the best international airline from my experience. As for domestic flights, I've never really had trouble with any airline in particular. However, domestic flights in foreign countries are a different matter.

It could be worse, you could be flying Cubana! Although in January my flights were only 4 hours late on arrival and pretty much on time for departure. The Mexican airline-Click had a huge delay the day I departed, something like 10 hours and counting when I left!

morning,

have flown cubana several times and not a problem. mexicana have been good.

eventually got in last night at 1.30am so not really cheerful about qantas but that said, i have had a couple of flights with virgin and now refuse to fly them. copped a couple of genuinely rude imbeciles. also told, and no idea if this is true or not, that the level of tests and training for a pilot for virgin is considerably less than that of qantas. a big worry if true. was a reasonably good source but i could not confirm it.

hate jetstar, alaskan and iberia - always find them appalling - in fact the worst i have flown (and i have done aeroflot, sudanese, the third rung of garuda - who knew they had a third, let alone a second, rung and a good few others that one does when one is young and bulletproof and idiotic). i know that iberia fly with unaccompanied luggage (know of quite a few occasions where this has happened), despite all claims to the contrary and that has to be a major concern these days. and have had staff with the talent of goldfish and the manners of pigs.

also have a major problem with air nz (not the inflight guys who have always been good but the admin and management who are brain dead zombies who couldn't get a job in telstra).

and even if qantas do piss me off with things like yesterday {the pricks finally announced our flight was going, an hour or so late and then with two minutes to boarding snuck up a change of time and added another two hours but didn't have the decency to make any announcement and then went another hour or so past the boarding time resceduled and again nothing and then we sat on the tarmac and they sent off planes to places out of scheduled order - i really hate that} but i do like heading into the qantas club and working as no one knows where i am and normally they are not too bad - i cannot believe i am even thinking of defending them after yesterday.

as usual, you have been both gratuitously and deeply offensive. thurston howell!!!! does that make you the robot and mary-anne? i always rather liked dr smith.

thurston howell???????? if we are going fictional characters (and yes, we all thought we were 007 but how many of you have actually been mistaken for a real spy - long story and says very little for british intelligence or whoever he was), i always kinda thought of myself more along the lines of scrooge mcduck, then along came monty burns (does that make you smithers?) - only problem was a complete and total lack of cash.

Does this mean that rob fantasises about you, and that his greatest birthday wish is to see you burst out of a birthday cake singing, and wearing only a sash with your name written on it?

i'm just terrified that his wishes don't even include the sash!

I'm hoping Colt45 or someone will make a nice photoshop of Ken's head on Monty Burn's body, or vice versa. Throw in Dr. Smith, Thurston Howell and the robot and we could really have some fun. Wait a minute, if Ken is Thurston Howell III, who the hell is LOVEY??? :lookaround:

Funny story about Virgin Blue,

My wife used to work at the airport handling airline services, and when that virgin blue plane came in with the smashed window, she said she saw all the engineers there looking in their books to try to figure out why it cracked, she heard "Buggered if I know?" then she lent over and suggested that perhaps a bird hit it, and they suddenly went "Oh yeah, that could be it" and toddled off.

Another occasion, she was in the cabin and found a bolt lying on the ground, she asked the engineer if he knew where it went, he said, and I quote "Oh I don't know, just chuck it out, can't be that important if it just fell out"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That alone is why I fly QANTAS, sure they are as useless as Telstra (AND I CAN SAY THAT BECAUSE I KIND OF WORK FOR TELSTRA/SENSIS) but at least there planes have a better chance of staying in the air.

A friend of mine was flying to sydney the other day, it was her first flight ever in a plane, i said to her not too worry about virgin, because every passenger got a set of peddles and had to peddle to get it off the ground.

Ross...
