Colt45 Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 Patron Silver Grand Marnier Limeade - from frozen concentrate. Never too syrupy, and allows you to make to taste according to how much water is used. As a substitute, I like Stirrings simple margarita. Of course, squeezing fresh limes is always best, but not always practical. Swab rim of glass with a lime wedge, sqeeze wedge into drink, drop wedge into drink. Two or three ice cubes. Good, and good for you,

Homebrew Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 I really enjoy my Margaritas. Take 1 fifth of your favorite gold teqila. Juice 6 whole limes, one lemon, and a 1/2 cup of cane sugar. Combine all ingrediants, including the citrus rinds into a 2quart, not sure of metric conversion Sealable Jar. Fill the rest of the way with ice. Seal and wrap in a towel. Pass it around, and take turns shaking, for around an hour. The towel will probably stick to the jar, but don't worry it's all good. :-) At least the hands of the person shaking isn't frozen. The first round, keeps a group entertained, while they prepare the next round.:-D I have also used an electric Ice Cream Maker, to do something similar.:-D Dave (A.K.A. Homebrew)
