PJ:-D :-D :-D
El Presidente Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 For those a trifle confused....G2 = Ken Gargett ...wine writer extraordinaire ;-)
shrink Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 In military parlance, G-2 refers to the intelligence service. Would you apply that term to Ken? :-D
Colt45 Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 At least calling it Cask Wine makes it sound better than calling it wine in the box! What next, screw caps?!
Ken Gargett Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 pj, i am deeply offended that you would even think i have a favourite cask wine or even knew what they were. i remember len e once telling me that he made a goose of himself on tv because on one show they handed him a cask and asked for his opinion - he had absolutely no idea how to even open them. as for the intelligence quip, i guess it is all relative, but may be the guys on the trip knew something. does g1 stand for anything? and bring on the screwcaps - best thing to happen to wine in decades. (apparently those two litre casks from yalumba are considered the rolex of casks - everything else is just oris! - but i've met some of your mates and i'm thinking 44 gallon drums). and on behalf of all those members of the forum who also have had the mail fail in their area, thanks for the invite! unfortunately, the most shocking dose of flu in history will prevent my attendance - i am not a good patient.
El Presidente Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 Big Hugs ken from all the FOH family....get well soon. If you find yourself fading in and out of consciousness....e-mail me so I can finalise any outstanding accounts before you start your jorney to that big Divan in the sky.:-D
Ken Gargett Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 yes, trust me. that will be the first thing i do. why do i still keep seeing spiro on this site?
