Shooter Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 It's fun having the ability to grab any number of good quality cigars from the 'dor---sometimes you want to "dig-deep" and other times something just "pops-out" at you. Last night I took a RyJ Ex 4 (RAM DIC03) from a recent cabinet and with fishing rod in hand---scooted off to the pond behind the house to get some topwater action with the bass. I realize I wrote something-up on this cigar a month or two ago but I just had to again say---THIS IS ONE FANTASTIC CIGAR!! Despite the juggling of fishing while smoking (you know--un-hooking all those big largemouth bass), the ash never seemed to want to fall and the smooth fruity smoke undoubtedly provided the entire neighborhood with a whiff of superb Cuban tobacco! I guess I just love the flavor profile of the RyJ's when they're "on." I've had a number of RyJ Churchills that although were good---they couldn't hold a candle to this Hermosa-sized gem. If you haven't tried 'em--do it. Just a superb 60 minute cigar!

cigarnv Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 Nice review Bruce!! Never been a fan of this vitola but most folks seem to like them.
Jimmy2 Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 #4 is a very good cigar but the R&J Church is far better cigar much more complex. But again they are differant blends so we can not even compare them.
El Presidente Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 I am smoking more and more R&J E4. To me it is the best Romeo of all. While the Churchill is the top selling Romeo, I have never really taken to it. Just love the chewy sweet spice of the Exhibicion No 4.

After a cab of them they become much more dearing. They grow on you. Like the taste of beer when you are 12. Then when you are 18 you'd rather drink nothing else.
dogbreath Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Although not as complex as others, to me the R&J Ex No. 4 is smooth and creamy. Thanks for sharing!
rusty Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 nice review! the R&J Ex No. 4 is a fav. great value cigar!
olotti Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Nice review, I wish I could have afforded a cab but the 04 dress box I have are very good.
Mel Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 I don't have to dig at all to get at my R&J #4, they are on the top. I need to put them on the bottom cause they won't last long where they are at. I do prefer them over the Churchill.
