great new aussie rum

have just been doing stuff with the new bundy - the 18-year-old. only 5,142 bottles made and $150 a bottle (but apparently already $1,500 on ebay), but if you see a bottle, don't miss it. it is probably the best spirit ever made in australia. a mix of 15 barrels of rum that are between 18 and 21 years - it is like a christmas pudding.

yes, bundaberg - sorry, it australia, it is always just known as bundy (bit like if an american talked about bud, you'd know).

may i say that having tried it at various tastings, i have put an order in with the local bottleshop but it is almost impossible to find as huge demand. i look forward to rob's grovelling apology any time soon.

ps - you'll have almost no chance if you live outside queensland (just one more benefit of living in paradise). there'll only be about 200 bottles go outside the state.
