bassman Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Bought a 5er when these first came out & just smoked my first one. Not quite sure what to make of it. Perfect draw & burn, but compared to other SCDH cigars, seems unusually mild and bland. Hopefully, they will grow more complex with age, but with 01 El Principes tasting much richer & available for a lot less money, I see no reason to stock up on the Officio.
habanohal Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 I just recieved a box in trade of them. But I dont want to break it open yet. I have had 1 of the size that is a bit larger. It was magnificent. I liked it alot, even though I dont really like the regular SC line up

Toasted one the other night - unfortunately I was toasted too. Must have been decent as there was only a nub left the next day. Hate it when I do that :-|

I smoked my first one last night while sitting on the deck guarding the smoker with Tri Tips and was very pleased with the flavor. A BOTL had bombed me with a Officios to try. It reminded me of a Tobacco coffee moca cream flavor with a touch spice. It even made me think it was a box order for sure. Sorry to hear yours was not the same experience. Maybe I need to get another one before pulling the trigger on a box.
Jimmy2 Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 San Cristóbal de la Habana MURALLAS are good to go mine are pretty tasty already.

I agree with your tasting notes and will be smoking one box now and hide the other one for five years or so.

The box I got looks and smells outrageous. Sadly I too am not touching them for as long as I can hold off. :-(
