anacostiakat Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 » In the words of Krusty the Clown....OOOOHOOHOOOOHOOOOH :crying: So you'll be able to buy more cheaper!
Smokin Bulldog Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 I HAD a 17% return through April. A week and a half later< I am desperately holding onto 2%:-( This is when I hate it!
Havana Joe Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 17% is great, I myself went from a 10 down to 3% :-(
connoiseur29 Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 It's hurting, for sure. Then again it's just a vicious cycle. Some successful businessmen wait for a crash and have plenty of funds available at that time to go bargain shopping. If it serves my memory correctly, it has been quite some time since we have had a market crash. I don't think these market hiccups mean much compared to what's awaiting us at some point in the future.
waldo Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 » In the words of Krusty the Clown....OOOOHOOHOOOOHOOOOH :crying: I made out like a fat rat.:-P Two words "limit orders".Or stop loss, ect. I cashed out big on energy stocks, then turned around and bought them again a week later at a big discount. Always have an exit price.;-)
waldo Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 » I'm buying cheap right now. » » secret hint....XMSR Yeah, it's sure in the crapper right now.:-P Not my style though.
hueynova Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 » In the words of Krusty the Clown....OOOOHOOHOOOOHOOOOH :crying: If you want the stock market to dive, convince me to invest in stocks. I have a 3 for 3 record for crashing the whole market. (And this one could be my fault too: I just signed up with my company 401k a couple months ago.)
pizzabob Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 » In the words of Krusty the Clown....OOOOHOOHOOOOHOOOOH :crying: Man, all my asses are kicked! :crying: I was too sportin a nice 22% up, but friggin MSFT fux up by a lousey penny & its down like $5 **** dollars! the bastards. SIRI is looking good at the $3.50 range, (got another 2K) but its up today in the $4s again. XMSR took a ****, it looks real good at the $15 range, unless the satalites fall out of the sky! Howz about Halliburton, trikyDickChaney always makes $$$$$$
dogbreath Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Gave up on individual stocks years ago. Try well established mutual funds managed by a pro for the long term. Spend your free time deciding what habanos you'll buy next! Cheers!
TheGipper Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Yep, last couple weeks have been as ugly as I've seen it in a long time. My big percentage gains from October to now have gotten clobbered and am about +5% now for that time frame. But I believe make new highs before the end of 2006.
alchemize Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 You should only look at your stock market returns once every 30 years
Chicago Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 » In the words of Krusty the Clown....OOOOHOOHOOOOHOOOOH :crying: I'm still reeling from the last crash..MSFT, Intel, CSCO OUCH!
El Presidente Posted May 27, 2006 Author Posted May 27, 2006 Making a comeback going short on commodity stocks  ....I will get out any day now .... ....sure I will
cobra Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 In the words of Homer "DOH". I was justifying my cigar (and other) indulgences over the 6 months based on how well I was doing. Over a 6 day period last week 10% of my 401 left the building!! Just when I think I know what I'm doing...........
