Homebrew
El Rey del Mundo Chiox Supreme 06/02 Date of review 05/10/06 This is a nice looking stick, with a EMS wrapper, with very small veinsm and a perfect triple cap. The construction appears flawless, and there are no lumps of soft spots. I clip the cap, with my Palio clipper, thanks DED. Prelight draw, is a little firm, but tasted of rich tobacco. I toast the foot, with my cheap torch lighter, and try to get some smoke out of this thing. I am getting a little but of smoke, but it is requiring a little effort. What smoke I get, has a very nice flavor of leather with notes of cedar. The tight draw continued about the first inch of the cigar, and suddenly opened up, with huge volumes of creamy, rich, blueish smoke and the enjoyment began. The cigar suddenly became quite complex, with notes of cedar, caramel, and leather m intermingling with cream and honey overtones. The ash held for over 2 inches, and I finally had to knock it off in the ashtray. Past the midway point, there was a little zip of white pepper, just enough to make my tongue tingle abit, but didn’t muddle the other wonderful flavors. In the last two inches of the smoke, a strong toffee flavor took over from the caramel flavor, and the cedar picks it up a notch. This cigar has a strong finish, and I could still taste the rich goodness of this cigar, for over an hour after I reluctantly laid it to rest, with tingling lips, and a nice buzz. Not to mention the burned fingers. Despite the early tight draw, this was a great smoke. Rating this on a 5 point scale, I would rate this cigar a 4.6. This was probably the most complex Cuban cigar, I have ever smoked. Though I am by far no expert, I know what I like, and I like this smoke. Unfortunately, I was gifted this one, and don’t have any more. Looks like I am now on a quest. Dave (A.K.A. Homebrew)
El Presidente
Excellent review Dave. An absolute craker for a debut review I am a firm believer in a firmish draw....nothing uncomfortable mind you...just a need to pull on the draw. This structure immensely improves the flavour kaleidescope of a cigar. Why? I have always put it down to the cooler burn which a "mid level resistance" draw brings. olotti
Nice review. I've got one of these suckers sitting all alone that I just might have to pull out this weekend and I agree with the Prez I much prefer a draw that is a little firm to one that is on the loose side. cigarnv
Very nice review. It seems this once unappreciated cigar is finding its way into the mainstream more and more these days.

CIGARHead
The Choix has got to be in my top 4 most beloved cigars. Whenever there's a doubt about what to smoke, I pull one of these suckers out and I am always satisfied. Great review.
