What size and blend ( the blend/flavour profile, must be chosen from an existing production marque and vitola). For me: Size: Corona Gorda Blend: La Gloria Cubana Tainos. Milk coffee, sweet, medium bodied. (the first two thirds of the LGC Tainos we experienced in one of this years tastings was the finest cigar experience I have had in a long time). Yours?

Havana Joe Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 I'd go with a Corona Gorda as my first choice, with the pyramid-Monte 2 size as my backup. As far as the blend goes, that's a bit tougher. I would want something that stands out but something that is not to overpowering. Maybe a mix between: Monte 2, BBF (love those), and possibly add in a pinch of ERDM choix....;-)
harwellplant Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 a piramide. the cigar would offer great tobacco flavor reminiscent of a bolivar with a full offering of partagas spice. the spectrum would blossom open much like a QdO (not the actual flavor, but rather the range of flavor) with a complexity and blending rivaling that of a cohiba. a side note would be a molasses undertone, as with SCDH. the finish would be crisp and clean, like a trini.

JMH Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 I'd go with that one amazing VR Unico I had. Smoked more from the same box, but while still incredible, did not have the same flavours as this one. Incredibly full bodied and earthy, with a rustic sweetness like raw sugar, and a bit of creamy coffee or vanilla added in if I could.

I agree with Rob but as a Lonsdale size instead!! The 2001 Taino's are incredible imo..when was yours from Rob?
cigardawg Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 Wow, this is a tough one. I would have to say... Size: Lonsdale Blend: The richness of the Partagas SdC No. 1 mixed with some of the complexity and sweet flavors of the Siglo III. Might clash, but might not. Would be interesting.

It was like smoking 4 different cigars in one, and at 9inches long it almost was LOL They Hoyo De Monterrey Particulares... excellent smoke that changed flavor profiles every 5-10minutes... it was beautiful. However if pressed to really participate as the rules say I would have to choose: Size = Dalia Flavor Profile = vintage Montecristo flavor. Like the late 80's Especial's taste, vintage, leathery and deep cocoa flavor. MMmmmm

El P. Are the LGC Tainos good young? sounds like something I would enjoy but I seem to have a difficult time leaving them alone to age. And no I can't purchase two boxes as I need the funds for a different box ;-) Thanks UB
