Well, I couldn't wait...go figure!

I enjoyed the start to a nive sunny day, this past Saturday, with all intentions of waiting to finish my round of golf BEFORE lighting up!

But NOOOOOO!!!! My sherman beckoned to me when I was on the 6th tee...."I'm here, I'm here" it called! I turned away from the golf cart and shook it off...Focus, I must focus....and BOOM...a blocked drive to the right! I drove the cart to the ball...'wheww, it's safe'!

As I set up for my approach I heard it call again. This time...it was "you know you want me'"....I spun my 8 iron shot off a tree limb and into the rough...still 40yds form the pin...and NOT on the green!

Alas...I gave in...yes...I'm easy like that!

I took out of my sherman a fine specimen of a cigar! A PSD4. Firm yet tender, not harsh vein in site and a wonderful sheen! Ahhhh, breakfast! After a nimble clip I lay the cigar down near my glasses and grab my wedge...I am playing golf after all!! I prepare to hit my shot and....I do! Landing inches from the pin, the ball rolled 9feat past....great - an downhill put that swinds a foot right to left. I go to the cart and grab my putter...and my PSD4. ahhhh...the perfet pair!

As I approach my putt, I am enjoying the flavors of the wrapper as I get ready to light my cigar....but wait...I must putt out...no light the cigar...you know you want it! I hear the little stogie calling!

Not wanting to get smoke in my eyes...I decide to putt out.................

I should have light the cigar!

The putt rolls 10 inches past the hole and I tap in for Bogey...or Bogie? :D

In discussed, I pick up my ball from the cup. Wait...the cigar...ahhhh, all is not lost! I light the cigar and it breaths free....ahhh, what spices. Rich earthy spices with what is to me a touch of even coffee. but more RICH than any readular cup...no, a cup of Blue Mnt...yes, rich full bodied. Although, like my the morning air, it was a little fresh. As I proceed to finish of the front side of the round I enjoy the smoke as I go. The ash is dark and firm - not flaky. It's near impossible to tap of...so I leave it! Just a third of the way through and the cigar mellows...flattens out a little. (As did my back swing...bad move!!)....I tasted less spicey yet very rich indeed...although I felt wanting! As if somehting were missing...some depth...ahhh, a youthful smoke may fool ye at times! So, I waited for the change and it came....BIRDIE on 15...wooohoooo!! oh - the cigar...right.! The last third or quarter came around and I knew I was home.....the nicotine buzz was swaying...the rich full smoke was puffin'...and I was happy! I great smoke and with age...a true, true PSD4.

oh - this is my first review..I'm sure you can tell!

Later,

Gary

Nice review.

These along with the Cohiba Robusto, are 2 cigars that get raved about that dont really fit me that well. Never had one that was memorable. I have been through atleast 2 boxes of each. Both differant years.

Wish it were differant.:-(

Sorry to hear that, Hal. One must have been a year too late, and the other... a year too early. One of the greats, IMHO.
