n2advnture
Rob has been gracious enough to allow me to post info on my new invention! (Thanks bro!) I recently submitted the patent for the Humidi-Puck™! The Humidi-Puck™ is designed to replace the existing "creedo" style round humidifiers that are found in the lids of virtually all desktop and travel humidors. The Humidi-Puck™ is available in 2 sizes and 2 RH levels! Choose either 65%RH & 70%RH, "Tall" or "Short" (same diameter, 2 different heights). They utilize the moisture sensitive silica media that are specifically engineered to regulate and maintain a precise predetermined level of RH - either 65% or 70% whichever you choose. Unlike other products, which utilize the green floral foam, the Humidi-Puck™ will both absord and release water vapor in order to maintain the desired predetermined level of relative humidity. All without costly & messy chemicals! Each Humidi-Puck™ comes with Velcro™ so it can be mounted anywhere but is not attached when shipped so you can place it in the desired closed container if so desired. Also includes instructions and zip lock baggies with tab hole for easy retail display. Humidi-Puck™ Thanks again for the support bro, it is greatly appreciated. Happy smoking my friends! ~Mark

Van55
Nice product, Mark! Good luck with the patent application, though. It seems to me that the "art" is not new. Humidification devices of various shapes and sizes with selica gel beads inside have been on the market for years. I don't know if the cylindrical shape that you conceived is sufficiently original to patent, but the USPTO will let you know in due time, I am sure..... I did hire a patent attorney :-D Seems very well made and comes with easy instructions. I charged the humidi-foam with distilled water as directed and placed it into my desktop 100 ct humidor. After a little over a week in the humidor it is performing flawlessly! Every time I open the lid it’s exactly at 70%! I had been using the gel containers and even a water pillow when needed to TRY and keep the humidity consistent and was having a hell of a time with it. Frankly after dropping it in and removing all the other humidifying devices within an hours time it was perfect and has been ever since. What more can I say? If you are looking for a super simple easy solution for your desktop humi or any other for that matter this product works perfectly. I highly recommend it!! Have a great Easter weekend! ~Mark
n2advnture
Another posted today: I was skeptical when ordering this product because, well, it's new and hadn't heard anything about it. LOL! I am glad I did! Here is my take on the product. It's a humidification device designed around the round “credo” or "puck" style foam filled humidifiers that you find in just about all humidors. It is designed to contain both the bead humidity control media and the humidifying element into one unit to replace the above style humidifiers in conventional desktop humidors. I can think of other storage containers to put it in as well. What's in the package - The Humidi-Puck (duh), REALLY easy to follow instructions, 1 set of round Velcro holders. (And a personal "Thank You" from Mark the owner/inventor, nice touch). A lot of thought seems to have gone into making this and it appears to be very well made. The instructions are simple and easy to folow. I soaked the humidi-foam with distilled water as directed, making sure to squeeze out some water to prevent dripping. I then closed the puck and placed it into my Ashton Savoy 100 count desktop humidor. It's been about 10 days since installing the Humidi-Puck in my humidor and it is performing flawlessly! I was a little paranoid at first and I know this device is designed to regulate a CLOSED environment but every time I open the humidor, the digital hygrometer reads exactly at 71%! (I know my hygrometer is off by 1%). I am REALLY pleased with this product so far. I previously had been using the gel stuff and the dry-stat tubes and was having a heck of a time trying to keep the RH steady and consistant. After installing the Humidi-Puck and removing all the other devices the relative humidity was holding steady within a couple of hours! AMAZING! If you are looking for a simple, inexpensive, easy solution for your desktop humi or any other for that matter this product works perfectly. I can't recommend it enough! J.J. n2advnture
Here is a recent review by someone who was the first to purchase the Humidi-Puck: Product: Humidi-puckCompany: Cigarmony.com Website: http://www.cigarmony.com MSRP: $14.99 Company Line: Humidi-Puck™ Features: * Precise relative humidity regulation to 65% & 70% * Easily replaces existing (and useless) foam filled humidification devices * Reclaims up to 25% of your humidor space previously lost to satchels, pantyhose and aluminum cases & tubes * Easily transferable between your desktop humidors and your travel humidors * VERY easy to use with no messy & costly solutions! * Available in 2 sizes & 2 relative humidity levels to accommodate your every need! * Made in the USA Picture: Background: This is a bead style humidification device designed around the round “credo” foam style humidifiers. Designed to contain both the bead humidity control media and the humidifying element into one unit to replace the above style humidifiers in conventional desktop humidors. (Though it really does have many other uses) What you get: The Humidi-Puck itself, Easy to follow instructions, Round Velcro Applicator, business cards. Review: Seems very well made and comes with easy instructions. I charged the humidi-foam with distilled water as directed and placed it into my desktop 100 ct humidor. After a little over a week in the humidor it is performing flawlessly! Every time I open the lid it’s exactly at 70%! If you are looking for a super simple easy solution for your desktop humi or any other for that matter this product works perfectly. I highly recommend it!! I had only one problem with the device that comes into play. I rec’d my humidor as a gift and it did not come with a credo style humidifier only the spot for one in the lid next to the hygrometer. I was hoping this would fit right in to this spot and it did not. The hole in the lid for the humidifier in my humi is 2 3/8” in diameter and the humidi-puck is 2.65” in diameter. This is not a reflection of the humidi-puck design just not a perfect fit with my particular humidor. My solution will be to simple affix a buffer of some sort into the recessed hole that I can then stick the Velcro to to hold it into the lid. Not big problem at all. The funny thing about that show is if you read the waiver, the contestants release all rights to the product/patent for the $1 mil. ~Mark
