DocRKS Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 I have just received - among other things - 2 boxes of Monte "C" EL 2003s. After spending a frustrating (but nevertheless appreciated 5 minutes) trying to get through all of the packing (padded envelope, bubble wrap, Tiffany Blue Wrapping Paper, etc), I was greeted by 2 of the finest boxes of cigars I think I have ever received. The look of.. and the aroma of.. these cigars was as close to breathtaking as I've experienced with any top quality smokes. Both boxes were from my favorite factory - El Laguito (LLN) and carried the AGO 03 date code ! Now for the clincher to this deal....check out CCzar's pricing on these - it is over $50USD LESS than some well known Internet vendors who are perceived to 'always' offer the best pricing. TOP QUALITY and BEST PRICE - what an awesome combination for any consumer to be gifted. This is what I received from this deal with CCzar ----and of course there is the priceless joy of dealing with the lovely Lisa ! ;-) All too often, folks just take the time to post when there is a FUBAR situation by a vendor; it's just human nature to complain a little. But if you were the receiver of these boxes as I was - then you would readily understand why this Had To Be Said ....... Rob and Lise and Smitty and all at CCzar - thanks for a tremendous transaction. I couldn't be more pleased ! PS - For our Friends from Oz - translations of FUBAR will be gladly furnished by email... although I'm certain there is an Aussie version of this phrase as well...LOL!!!

Mel Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 »Agree! You have seen me supporting Czar on another board. Do you really like the flavor of those cigars? They have been bastardized pretty good on another thread. I think the last one I had was one of the best, indicating to me that they need at least 2-3 years. Oops looks like your there and ready to smoke.
DocRKS Posted March 24, 2006 Author Posted March 24, 2006 I'm going to let them sit about a fortnight in my Humi before firing one up --it was a long trip from Oz !!! and they need some rest and relax to recover from their trip..
cigarnv Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Roman, at times I wonder if only you and I like the Monte "C"s. Great buy on these!! We will expect a detailed review!!

josie67 Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Great post there Doc! Most times, people like to complain on boards alot more than give praise, and I agree that Rob, Lisa, and Smithy are TOP NOTCH in quality, customer service, and pricing!!
habanohal Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 They are a beutiful cigar. I just recieved mine 20 minutes ago
Elric Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 » Roman, at times I wonder if only you and I like the Monte "C"s. Great buy » on these!! We will expect a detailed review!! Reid I also love these sticks.

Colt45 Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Doc, nice post. I'd have to think that many who post here fairly regularly consider the Czar Crew more than just internet vendors - much more. (maybe that's part of Rob's plan to rule the world). And, this has been mentioned before, but I think this board has separated itself from others by showing a sharing of knowledge, a little bit of civility, and some well intenioned fun can create a great atmosphere. I look forward to your review.

Would have snagged them but I have plenty of unopened from when they first came out. I agree, these will indeed be very good smokes! ~M
Ken Gargett Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 couldn't agree more than the monte 'C's look good but they are the closest thing to compost that has come out of havana since fidel's last speech (and i am a big fan of many in the LE range). i hope that those thinking that they need several years are correct. mine are certainly getting that. for me, by far the least of the LE range. rob and i differ on this but he can't be right all the time. i assume that the second bloke who believed in bell's new invention was the bloke at the other end?
CigarZen Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Roman -- very gald to hear you got great cigars. It is always a treat to open a package and be greeted with that pleasure to the eyes and nose! As far as the factory, isn't LLN H Upmann?
Smokin Bulldog Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 By all accounts this is a first class operation that I am very comfortable dealing:-) with!
raney Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Well said - and no two ways around it: simply outstanding servie, and quality.
dogbreath Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 » By all accounts this is a first class operation that I am very comfortable » dealing:-) with! Totally agree!!!:-)
argon345 Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 I will have to fully agree with this one. I am heading off to visit some very good friends this weekend and wanted a nice box of cigars we could enjoy. Lisa worked with me to pick out a great box of Monte D's...I know these are a bit young but they should be mighty tasty. So when it comes to good people and cigars CC is the way to go!!! Thanks Rob and Lisa!!
Diselfitter Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 This no surprise to me, I love this place and it is my place of choice. I agree all too often the vendor gets to hear complaints, and praise is often over looked. You guys rock Deez

What was that sound????? Was it a very low flying jet plane???? or was it the POINT OF THIS POSTING flying right over Ken's head ??? ;-) Not really about a review of these cigars nor how the taste of these sticks brings thoughts of compost to your mind... 2. The bloke on the other end was a 'blokette' - it was Mrs. Bell who uttered that immortal phrase, "Alexander......Get the hell off that damn phone and come to bed !!!!"
Ken Gargett Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 no, i did follow the point but, and i apologise for this, had the termerity to divert slightly in thought. if members feel that one concept per thread is all that they can cope with, i'm happy to stick with that. monte 'C's are the supermodels of the cigar world - look great but... sorry, that should have been in a different post.

No problems at all Ken...and a bunch of us here can actually cope with the concept of multiple thoughts in a single post. We just don't view every post here as another opportunity to inject our reviews. But as they say on this side of the big water --it's all good.
sleeper Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 CZ's service is, without a doubt, as good as any I've ever received. Kudos to the entire operation!!
El Presidente Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 Kudos to Lisa and Smithy. I just hang out You guys look after her when she is in New York and Los Vegas in July. Anything happens to her and it will be me back in charge ;-)
