SeanGAR
Interesting that the one stamp with the wrong font, wrong fluorescence in number/letter combo, poor acuity in printing, no microprinting, also has paper that fluoresces bright white. The box code is MPC Abr 01. I should be happy that they at least taste Cuban and are decent smokes. http://filebox.vt.edu/users/okeefes/CubanS...seupNumbers.jpg http://filebox.vt.edu/users/okeefes/CubanStamps.jpg http://filebox.vt.edu/users/okeefes/CloseupDate.jpg http://filebox.vt.edu/users/okeefes/CubanStampsNumbers.jpg
dragon
The prefix numbers "FX" are incorrect for a box dated in '01 and the factory code "MPC" was not used in '01 either.

raney
Nice to see you here Sean. BTW I smoked the cigar you sent me from this box over the weekend. I have to say that I thought it was a pretty good smoke. Is the general consensus that these are non-EL's with EL bands on them? Shoot - I should really introduce myself here. ilikecigars
you know i havent bothered with the csi slueth stuff in a long time as i only use trusted vendors but sheesh..i guess i should break out my black light from my hippie days...although it seems they are even getting legit seals for the fake habanos now days...see them for sale online all the time...at that fakes web sight, they even have bands and holograms....shame on the guy that made up that box he could have at least got a legit warrenty seal. I know some very experienced people that regard the vendor Sean used for these pretty highly. I think this was part of the disappointment he had with this box. thschrminm
I also had a box from a vendor I will never use anymore with that bright white paper on the seal... The cigars were very harsh and not authentic Habanos... I am interested to find out what vendor this thread's fake seal came from if someone can email me... I can also let you know what vendor my box was from... Email: [email protected]

Van55
I can't access the photos either. I would like to know more about what these cigars were supposed to be and from whence they came. It had been my understanding that only boxes of cigars sold within Cuba bear the hologram that appears under blacklight. Would someone correct me if my understanding is in error? strayvector
What's the possibility of outing this vendor? Would be nice to be able to warn others of them. If not public, any possibility of emailing me at [email protected]? Thanks.
