Very nice shots! And personally; I don't think there's anything strange about moving to a place with great fly-fishing opportunities!!:-D

Great pictures.

I can totally understand. I'd move to Western North Carolina if I wasn't married just to be in trout fishin' country. To me, nothing beats a NC stream. . .

Kinda sucks, I actually have a job opportunity there that I can't take. :-(

» Nice fish....

There is nothing more exilarating than a 30lb salmon on the line.....you talk about your arms getting heavy.....these brutes will give you a workout....

And you talk about some good eating.....

This is also where I picked up the Handle ...Kingfisher....

Would a salmon that big be too mercury filled to eat? Or are my wifes conspiracy theories going to my head?

That salmon beast is all spawned out and funkdafied. I wouldn't be fishing for that jazz. And whoever took the first pic needs to at least get the whole fish in the frame. Looks like an amberjack kinda.

» Hey Ken, you'd enjoy fishing for Kings , Snook, Reds and Tarpon in SW

» Florida.

i'd enjoy fishing for old boots but they sound far more fun. i am very keen to catch a tarpon. remember as a tiny kid looking at my grandfather's national geographic book on fish and seeing them. never forgot it.

on the second day fishing on the last trip to cuba, we had a great day with the bones but on the drive back we passed a local walking along with a large tarpon. i went green.

Since the last few storms there should be plenty of boots out there, but depending on conditions Tarpon start school'in in May and keep rolli'in through July.

Cheers!

guys, these are a couple of photos a mate sent recently. thought you might enjoy them (that said, this is my first attempt at posting photos so you may never see them). he is an aussie so keen on fly fishing that he moved to new zealand to live. personally, i think that is sick. no matter how keen you are, you can always visit and come home.

couldn't get the rest to load.
