Popular Post Çnote Posted June 30 Popular Post Posted June 30 Lots of history here @Capn_Jackson. Old tobacco for sure. Pleasantly musty. Cedar in spades. Citrus on the lips, still a lot of life. Kinda high toned and throwing harshness around. I purposely slow down to a crawl, threatening to let it go out. Creamy with burning phone book, some distinct stick flavors. Nothing distinctively pleasing on the retro. The texture is great, the flavors seem off. It's 38 Celsius and Boveda are running hot at 68% on 65%s. Getting to the 2nd third, a rich sourness that I have recently learned is often from certain Dominican strains. Builds in richness into something in the caramel/twix bar spectrum. We are certainly getting somewhere, but I have to back off again. I'm paid off in a marvelous spice cake with dashes of paprika. This chugs along merrily as long as I don't puff too often. Construction has been great, no relights, even burn. Nub is sweet and vibrant, orange zest, burnt sugar. Probably should have smoked a minute ago but quite pleasant after the 1st3rd, which I was probably smoking too hard. A treat either way, thanks for putting this in my mouth, Jackson! 4 1
laficion Posted July 1 Posted July 1 Dear Cnote, Thank you for your nice review. This reminds me of the time when I used to smoke this cigar in the 80's, when the cigar was 100% JAMAICAN and the taste was very interesting. Thank you for bring me back to those days. Amicalement, Guy 1 1
