A Boveda Pack to help keep your fruit and vegetables fresher? I don't know...will this work or is it just a gimmick?

Boveda Launches Skipper to Help Keep Produce Fresh

Boveda’s two-way humidification pouches can be found in humidors of all shapes and sizes, with the company expanding into other markets, including musical instrument storage and cannabis. Now the company has its eyes set on your refrigerator’s vegetable crisper with its newest product, Skipper.

The company launched the product as a way to keep produce hydrated in the cold, dry environment of a refrigerator. While refrigerators are good at slowing moisture loss, they do not replenish it, which leads to fresh produce wilting and spoiling, as well as nutrient loss and ultimately waste. The company says that the average U.S. household discards roughly $1,600 of fresh produce annually, largely due to spoilage. That waste also contributes to environmental concerns, as it emits methane as the produce decomposes.
