The U.S. is dangling $100 million in direct aid for the Cuban people as well. Not sure what the regime will decide to do, but I will say this sort of issue has been going on for a few months already with no clear rush to resolve it by the regime.

The $100 million in direct aid for the Cuban people has to go through a Catholic organization, I believe, to bypass the Cuban government... but most likely the regime will get their hands on the 100 million aid most likely.

Products sent as humanitarian aid to Cuba by the government of Mexico are being sold in dollars at state-controlled stores linked to the military sector, according to a report by the Mexican channel TV Azteca. The investigation, presented by journalist Rodrigo Lema, claims that donated food to alleviate the crisis on the island is being sold in establishments that operate in foreign currency, far from the free distribution that had been announced. According to the report, one of the most documented cases is the so-called "bean of welfare," a product that was to be distributed to the population as part of Mexican humanitarian aid. However, the outlet claims to have verified that this food is sold through wholesale distributors linked to military structures.

Cuba has run out of oil and diesel, its energy minister said on Wednesday, as an ongoing U.S. blockade starves the island nation of fuel.

“The sum of the different types of fuel: crude oil, fuel oil, of which we have absolutely none; diesel, of which we have absolutely none … the only thing we have is gas from our wells, where production has grown,” Cuban Energy Minister Vicente de la O Levy said on state media, according to broadcaster the BBC.

Well, apparently Raul Castro is indicted on that 1996 plane downing! We might see major developments soon if a Maduro event happens.

Cuba Runs Out Of Gas: $100 Million In American Aid May Follow

Cuba has exhausted its imported oil reserves and run out of fuel needed to power its electrical grid and enable economic functions. "We have absolutely no fuel [oil], and absolutely no diesel,” Cuba’s Minister of Energy, Vicente de la O Levy, announced on state television this week, noting that the country’s electrical grid faced a “critical” situation. “We have no reserves.”

Energy shortages have led to expanded blackouts of up to 22 hours a day across the island nation. On May 12, an estimated 65 percent of Havana lacked electricity. As the humanitarian crisis deepens, scattered street protests by frustrated Cubans yelling “turn on the lights” were reported this week by various news organizations.
