These cigars are meant to honor “a historic international celebration that brings nations together through passion, resilience and the enduring spirit of the beautiful game: fútbol,” the company says. At 6 1/4 inches by 54 ring gauge, the Plasencia Triunfal Gran Toro is a blend of Honduran and Nicaraguan tobacco, all grown by the Plasencia family. The Honduran wrapper was cultivated on the La Tradición farm in Jamastran; the Honduran binder is from the San Agustín farm in Olancho; and the filler is a combination of Nicaraguan tobacco from Jalapa (La Vega farm) and Honduran leaf from the same farm that produced the wrapper. The Honduran powerhouse is releasing the Plasencia Triunfal Gran Toro, a limited-edition smoke tied directly to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which kicks off June 11 and is expected to draw an audience of nearly six billion viewers worldwide. It is a big moment for the sport, and the Plasencia family clearly sees it as a big moment worth commemorating in the humidor. What's in the Box The Triunfal Gran Toro measures 6 1/4 inches with a 54 ring gauge — a substantial, full-size smoke built for a long sit. Every leaf in the blend was grown by the Plasencia family itself, which is worth noting given how rarely a manufacturer controls the entire supply chain from seed to cellophane. Image credit: Plasencia Cigars The wrapper is a Honduran leaf cultivated on the La Tradición farm in the Jamastran valley, one of the most respected growing regions in Central America. The binder is also Honduran, sourced from the San Agustín farm in the Olancho region. The filler is a two-country blend — Nicaraguan tobacco from the La Vega farm in Jalapa combined with additional Honduran leaf from the same La Tradición farm that produced the wrapper. The cigars are rolled at Plasencia's Tabacos de Oriente factory in Honduras.
