What to do you think about regional editions released in tubes. Think about a Churchill sized cigar in a tube in boxes of 10 or 25. This could even bring back an old existing cigar like the Punch Churchill, which was released in tubes in boxes of 25.

I would buy it :)

I think the distributors mostly think of tubes as for the more casual market, sold as singles or packs and smoked in short order, verses Regionals as prestigious cigars for collectors.

If the distributors want any non-standard packaging for REs they have to organise it themselves, ie, Hunters and Frankau (or whoever) would have to design the tubes and get someone to manufacture them, and then deliver them to Habanos in Cuba before production could start.

Between those two factors is why we don't see tubes in regionals. Not the look they want and too much hassle.

But I agree it would be cool. If nothing else the tube would be a nice canvas for some cool looking design. Something like the old gold tubes from the Partagas de Luxe in an APAC regional seems like a no-brainer.

Very interesting, it would be cool!

Crystal tubos are what needs to be created.  Talk about gilding the lily for top dollar!  Diadema or Salomones cigar in a crystal tube.  Sold in three packs.

Guantanamera does this, but it's not exactly a high end product. I bought some awhile ago out of curiosity but haven't actually tried them yet. They're more for gifting to friends who like the idea of Cuban cigars more than the actuality.
