Cuaba Britannicas Extra - why wasnt it ever released?

Cuaba - one of my fav brands. 
 

Was waiting to find the Britanicas Extra (48x137) at some point, but it just never came. Is it because a perfecto tube is harder to make or not cost effective?

It was announced in 2019, then covid came which delayed everything by a couple of years, and after that there was a change in Habanos ownership and major change in marketing direction. I think it probably just got lost in the shuffle. The people who were passionate about it internally moved onto other things.

It wouldn't have helped that it was a perfecto tube which Habanos doesn't have experience with, or that it was from Cuaba which the market has never had a great response to.

That said, the Montecristo Herederos was in pretty much the same boat, but those are beginning to appear now, so perhaps there is hope for the Britanicas Extra one day.

It took me a while to appreciate Cuaba.  Mostly due to unlucky early experiences with the brand.  They have definitely grown on me since then.
