"I know that the consensus opinion around the interweb is that the Bolivar Petit Corona and Bolivar Number 2 Tubos are the same cigar but I just don't get it? I have smoked boxes and boxes of both and find them to be significantly different. Would you do me the courtesy of putting it forward to your members? Am I going mad?"

Over to you good folk. I have a poll if that helps. :cigar:

I’ve only had one tubo and many BPCs, I didn’t think they were the same. I found the BPC to be richer in flavor than the tubo. With such a small sample, could just be the individual cigar. 🤷‍♂️

I've less than 5 sticks of the tubos and probably less than a box of the BPC, but I certainly didn't think they were the same blend. I found the BPC to be more full. The tubos weren't as strong imo

Maybe my palate is pedestrian, but I don't really taste more of a difference than I do between, eg, a dress box BBF and a SLB BBF.

Similar question with Montecristo Petit Tubo.

THIS is an apt question as well -- can't for the life of me taste a difference between the two!

I don’t really see much similarity between them. They both have a distinct Bolivar taste, but the BPC’s are sharp and in your face, the Tubos No.2 are more balanced.

Definitely similar. Does fresh/young cedar and a tube mellow them out quickly? The same beer tastes different in a can vs bottle.

Anyone have some fresh BPCs and some old tubes want to experiment  and get back to us in a decade or so?

Cheers
