El Presidente Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago The H. Upmann Connoisseur Series has been a success for Habanos on the back of some very impressive cigars. Kudos. One of the things that impresses me is how different the cigars are in terms of body, flavour complexity and personality. Our palates are all different but lets see if we can tease out the essential elements of each. Have a crack at the poll and discuss. Share your thoughts on the H. Upmann Connoisseur series 2 1
Gubbins Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago I’ve tried only the Connie 2 which was superb, but have been wanting to try the B (perhaps as much as any other cigar) for a long time. Will sit this one out to see what’s what, and go from there. 4
Mike Mecklenburg Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago I like the Connie 2 and have had very good luck with boxes from 2022, 2023 and 2024. I have not tried the Connie B. 1
Lucas Buck Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Love the No.1 but never bought any of the new ones as the fatter rings were not my jam. I’ve been smoking more of the newer fat ring Havanas lately and enjoying some of them so I’ll have to delve in to the rest of the Conns. 1
Allroz Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago I love the Connie line, but would put the 2 at the bottom. From a flavor to value perspective, the 1 is the standout for me and what I’m deep on. I initially gravitated heavily to the Connie A, but after starting to smoke though a box of B these are my favorite in the line. I just wish they could replicate the blend in the A RG. 2

As one with limited experience on 1, A, B, I’d love to hear more of your thoughts on them…eg, what about the B blend is better than A (or that you dislike about A), and price aside, where does the 1 fit from a flavor perspective?
gormag38 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago B is certainly tops for me. The profile can be really complex and nuanced with some of the best honey/shortbread flavors I've ever pulled from a cigar. The original releases seem to be superior the more recent ones (although perhaps the 'aging' factor is coming in to play as well). After that I think the A and 1 would follow next for me. The 2 I've only ever had a single stick of so I can't speak much on that. 1
Capn_Jackson Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Love me some Connie 1. The rest are fine, but Connie 1 has a soft spot in my heart. I miss when they were around $10 apiece. Side note, I meant to click Connie 2 for question #2. 4
Chibearsv Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Connie 1 - great everyday cigar. Smooth, flavorful, not to complex but well balanced. Approachable young Connie 2 - Not as smooth as Connie 1 - requires the most age of this group to be in my wheelhouse Connie B - Small sample size for me here. Very similar to Connie 1 in my opinion but I've only had a couple with some age. Enjoyable cigar Connie A - Elegant and well balanced. Young or aged, the best of the bunch for me. Not as complex as SW but a rock solid excellent cigar. 2
