Popular Post El Presidente Posted Wednesday at 11:16 AM Popular Post Posted Wednesday at 11:16 AM Putting it together sounds complicated ..... Gunfire A British drink, the gunfire was first mixed by British army soldiers during the 1890s. This cocktail is typically served at breakfast. It is also traditionally served to soldiers in their beds by their officers on Christmas Day at Reveille if they are deployed over the holiday. The Australian version substitutes the black tea for coffee. Recipe 1 cup of hot, black tea 1 shot of rum Pour the rum into the tea and stir. 3 3

Popular Post riderpride Posted Wednesday at 04:54 PM Popular Post Posted Wednesday at 04:54 PM Simple is oddly confusing to many. Somewhere, someone is panicking and wondering English Breakfast or Earl Grey? White or dark rum? Trinidad or Bolivar? Cheers! 1 4

Lucas Buck Posted Wednesday at 08:17 PM Posted Wednesday at 08:17 PM My wife’s favorite is black tea with whiskey. Very tasty. Don’t believe I’ve tried it with rum but I’m sure it’s also delicious. I’ve been a big fan of rum in my coffee for many years but also enjoy a nip of whiskey and brandy sometimes. 2

I've been known to drink whiskey out of a tea cup as they look similar enough. I might start to blend it down a bit with tea to add some legitimacy to a Christmas morning bevvy 😆 Cheers! 3

ha_banos Posted yesterday at 07:01 AM Posted yesterday at 07:01 AM I'm not a tea guy. But tea folk are moaney gits. Wrong brand, water too hot, bag instead of pyramid bag, bag instead of loose leaf, wrong type, not brewed long enough, not brewed enough, leave the bag in, filter the water, put the rum in first, put the tea in first, use a mug not a cup, use a cup not a mug. Have I covered everything? Anyway at least get rid of a rum with added sugar if you're going to waste it! 😝 Sorry. Morning moaning feels. 2 2

Supposedly in US prohibition, 'tearooms' were a place to get a drink for this reason. 16 hours ago, StoagieSnape said: No honey? Does that venture into Hot Toddy-ish territory? Decent liquor shouldn't need sugar to choke it down. Looking around at when and where and with whom this supposedly became popular, sugar would have a luxury and honey probably not available at all. This is just to get rank-and-file bright and tight, not something to sip at like champagne. 20 hours ago, Fuzz AI said: Admit it, you just want to start drinking earlier, right? You can't drink all day unless you start early.

Glass Half Full Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago When we lived in the Islands, this was the elixir for a pending cold. As for tea on its own (hot or iced depending on the season), couldn't ask for a greater pairing for a milder cigar with great age. It's a great change of pace from just soda water.
