Casa Carrillo is unveiling a new collector’s box that contains three limited-edition cigars made from blends that the company says will never be part of a normal release. The cigars won’t be sold, but will be given away free of charge to a small number of winners who can enter via the company’s social media outlets.

Called Casa Carrillo Social Media Exclusive, the cigars come three to the box and feature a somewhat mysterious, bespectacled image of brand owner and master blender Ernesto Perez-Carrillo peering out over the logo.

The company said that the cigars represent “the most exclusive expressions within the Casa Carrillo portfolio.”

Each cigar has the same filler blend on paper, a combination of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos. But they differ considerably in their wrappers and binders.

Blend No. 1 combines a Connecticut Ecuador wrapper with a Connecticut broadleaf binder. The second blend has a Mexican wrapper and an Ecuador Habano binder. The third is made with an Ecuador Habano wrapper and a Mexican binder. Each cigar measures 6 inches long by 52 ring gauge. Two of them are parejos, while Blend No. 2 is a pirámide.

Casa Carrillo says each of these blends are unique to its portfolio and will never be part of the company’s standard production. “They exist solely for this collector’s release,” the company confirms.

The collector’s box will officially launch during a live digital event on January 26 at 5:30 PM EST on the Casa Carrillo YouTube channel. The first set of winners will be drawn that day, with one grand prize winner receiving five collector’s boxes (15 cigars total), and nine additional winners each getting two three-count boxes (six cigars total per winner).

More chances to win will follow throughout the year. “We will hold social media and live events all year,” says Lissette Perez-Carrillo, “and more opportunities will be available to randomly win.”
