Popular Post cigaraholic Posted January 1 Popular Post Posted January 1 After a day of lovely cigars I decided to finish with this. I knew I’d smoked one before because there’s one gone from my box, but I don’t remember it. Beautiful deep colorado wrapper with a shimmering shine, perfectly smooth. Unfortunately this bad boy weighs in at paltry 12.4g, no wonder I don’t remember the first one, it was lighter than this. I get cocoa and marzipan on the cold draw that’s as open as………. 1st third - coffee, cocoa and caramel, after a couple of minutes creamy marzipan creeps in. But I can’t puff on this cigar, the draw is way too open, so there’s no intensity of flavor. 2nd third - caramel and toasted tobacco…still puffing like a goldfish. 3rd third - the draw has tightened up so I can almost take a nice puff, a little ginger with the caramel and licorice towards the end. I can’t fault the quality of the tobacco in this cigar, there just wasn’t enough of it. I’m not a super expensive cigar buyer, can’t remember how many greyhounds I had the night I bought these. I do remember what hooked me, it was Rob when he and Ken reviewed this cigar saying it smoked like a great PL. I’m a sucker for a great PL. Fortunately the next cigar up is 15.4g which is about what they should weigh, finishing at 20.2g for the last. I should have 8 beautiful cigars ahead. 15
