CRC: Ramon Allones Specially Selected GRB May 24

Very firm cigar, very little smell on the wrapper, no flavor on the cold draw. I was concerned I’d need the draw tool, but cold draw is only slightly tight. First puffs are sweet, sweet tobacco. I do get some harshness on the retro, this is probably still too young, but with how nice the recent runs have been smoking, I needed to try one. I get some chalkiness, I think it’s just not ready yet, but I will keep smoking to see if something changes. Burn line is mostly clean, getting slightly wavy. Mostly earthy flavors, with sweet tobacco. There is still some harshness/sourness that I think is from youth. The char line has a charcoal smell. Construction is great, ash is holding strong, smoke output is good. I just keep waiting for it to give me more flavor. There is a little black pepper in the retro. Little charcoal on the palate. The final third this thing just jumped up a lot. Starting to get some fruitiness and cloves, the spice comes through on the palate and wow, if the whole thing was like this, I’d be in heaven! I’m hoping some age will bring this through the whole thing.
