When writing/reviewing for Shankin's Wine Spectator magazine, he got caught receiving favours for his 90's wine ratings.  IIRC, Shankin did a bit of a sting op on him.  Got some vintners to prod him and he took the bait.

I showed this video to my 18 year old son and he was impressed

Cigar Aficionado and Wine Spectator are both influenced by advertisers. You have to take those ratings with a grain of salt and make up your own mind. My tastes tended to align more with Robert Parker, but even then it's not 100%.

That said, this cigar video was very enjoyable.
