Puros Y Vino Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago JS has certainly tarnished his own name. But this video IMO excels at explaining the whole process. He nailed this. 1

ha_banos Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago That video where's he's brushing plume off a Monte 2 ..... all over his open humidor. Classic. Wish I'd saved it. Â 1

I’m not familiar with his history or downfall. When writing/reviewing for Shankin's Wine Spectator magazine, he got caught receiving favours for his 90's wine ratings. IIRC, Shankin did a bit of a sting op on him. Got some vintners to prod him and he took the bait.
avaldes Posted 40 minutes ago Posted 40 minutes ago I showed this video to my 18 year old son and he was impressed
avaldes Posted 37 minutes ago Posted 37 minutes ago Cigar Aficionado and Wine Spectator are both influenced by advertisers. You have to take those ratings with a grain of salt and make up your own mind. My tastes tended to align more with Robert Parker, but even then it's not 100%. That said, this cigar video was very enjoyable.
