I’m a huge Floyd fan and DSOTM easily wins for me. But Sgt Pepper is a landmark album, for various reasons. And rightly so. A Day In The Life is no small part. And one wonders if the single policy hadn’t been in place and Strawberry Fields took its rightful place on this album where it might then sit in terms of overall track quality output. Much closer I suspect. But still Dark Side is basically a miracle in the annals of recording. It’s longevity on the charts is unparalleled and it’s still a go-to piece when auditioning audiophile equipment.

Sgt Pepper's. Arguably the best album ever and it isn't even the best Beatles album.

Never a big Pink Floyd fan growing up. I like them better now, but I've never liked Sgt Pepper's (least favorite of Beatles' albums for me). Neither would make my top 30.

I respect the Beatles but their music does not do it for me. Floyd is another story. I was able to work local security for the Division Bell show in New Orleans. It was amazing. For as much smoke as there was at that concert they probably didn't need security at all. Come to think of it I didn't see one cigar.

I sat in the Front Row at Oakland Coliseum. I am told it was a good show 🍺 🍻 😵‍💫. I do remember that Strat tone of David. He is just a notch below Jeff Beck in that regard IMO. Even in a black out I remembered his solos lol.
