I love that Aussies call McDonald’s “Macca’s.” Learned that from one of my best buds, who’s from Melbourne (and therefore insisted I become a Richmond Tigers fan) and use it, myself, now.

We had the aluminum Mc Donald's ashtrays that we would make into weed pipes in high school.

Almost without exception, if your surname's a "Mc" or Mac" of any kind then you'll be called Macca by someone here. It's law. 

I can remember how weird it was to first hear Americans refer to it as Mickey D's.

I really can’t wait until I’m able finally to visit Australia. It and the people just seem like the absolute best.
