Oh, its back in operation, I thought it had stopped.

A new finding...when we bid during last minute, I find that if I failed 1 time (other's bid over me), then it delays 1 more minute. If I failed twice, it becomes delayed by 2 minutes. I remember that the previous version would remain 1 minute.

I would like to see box location in the search like we used to have before!!

Not keen on the shortened two letter box location description, ‘’TH, PT, CH’’ etc. makes me think hard about geo abbreviations.

On both the old and the new system, if the auction closes without reaching the reserve, the seller has an option to offer it to the high bidder at their bid. I.e., if the reserve was $1000 and you had bid $950, the seller might decide that that is good enough and offer it to you at $950.

I think what you're saying is that if the reserve is $1000 and it closes at $950 then you should have a second chance to pay the $1000? While we could do it that way, I think the existing way makes more sense. While the auction is open it says whether or not the reserve has been met, so you would know you hadn't hit the reserve as soon as you placed the $950. If you are willing to pay more you should increase your bid then and win it the old fashioned way.

I did not know they had the option to offer at the highest bid. That make sense. Thanks.

Again, with the second bid, the time left increases to 3-4 minutes when people exceed my price (not 1 minute as before). It's not much fun for the bidding excitement  because as a user, l like to compete with others at the last minute.

There hasn't been any change to the rules, but the system is erroneously allowing you to submit anything for review. We'll get that fixed, but in the meantime the admin should reject new regular production stuff if you try and submit it.

Thanks Alex, because from the user side, I personally enjoy competing, battling and "killing” others in last minutes (no matter if it's 10-59 seconds), so please consider only increasing to 60 seconds only, LOL!

More seriously, what is the definition of 'new' and the age requirement for boxes?

3 years old, unless its Cohiba, certain hard to find sticks, and LCDH/Regional/Special Releases.

On the phone when I click into a listing and then try and go back, it brings me back to the first page instead of the page I was on.

What qualifies as “hard to find” these days? I'm seeing a box of 2024 PSD4s currently listed…

That shouldn’t have been listed and was an error. They said they’re having issues with that at the moment and it’s going to be fixed. 

That’s actually crazy it got through verification with the team. As in my experience they check every listing thoroughly.

On the old website I liked the Live Auctions link, which would take you straight to the cigars. On the new site I seem to struggle to get to the cigars. Looking at the menu, it has everything except, “show me the goodies!!”

Not sure what would cause that. It works at least in the built in browser ones. Feel free to PM me what you're using.

Should be fixed now.

I think the designer felt that long country names would look messy in the limited space. Codes seemed preferable to flag icons. Will look at options here.

This issue should be resolved now.

Will look at options to improve this.

Can probably disable the slide in from the side menu and just have it work with the hamburger, not sure that anybody would be using that feature intentionally.

The little icon on the conversation will unarchive it (this is what you clicked to archive it also).

This is the thing we're hearing more than anything else. Our thinking in the design was that people wanted to search on box location because they wanted to find boxes that could ship to them, so we added the ship to My Address filter as a neater way of doing this. The mechanics of this are a lot more sophisticated than they were on the old system - ie, you can add multiple addresses in different countries and find boxes that can ship to any of them, which you couldn't before.

We were having these conversations over a year ago at this point, and I guess we misunderstood the user need which actually is to find boxes within your country to avoid crossing borders, something that has increased in demand a lot in the last year with shipping restrictions, tariffs etc. 

We will figure out something for this, which will probably look like a "within My Country / EU" filter.

If you were using the location search for something other than finding boxes that can ship to you or finding boxes within your country, then please let me know.

In the footer there is a link to Search Sold Lots. If you click that it will take you to a list of sales ordered by recently.

I’d like to be able to see all the boxes scrollable and not have to click 1,2 etc. Also to be able to select for viewing boxes only located in a specific grographic area like we were able to on the old site.

When making a listing, the 'suggested' reserve price has a glitch. It incorporates partial box listings into the algorithm.

For example, let's say I'm listing a full box of something with a reserve of $500. The site will say that this exceeds the suggested retail price, and will sometimes pop up a recent listing for a partial box that ended for maybe 75% of that price and I'm required to write a note to admin for the reason why I'm asking a higher reserve. Not a huge deal, but should be simple enough to always correlate full box listings to full box reserve requirements and partial boxes separate?

Doesn't work well on the phone really. I tried multiple browsers on the phone to list a box and it wouldn't let me get beyond the photo editing section. Not very easy to navigate on the phone. I also am pretty sure there is a glitch with bidding that when someone bets it sends you a notice that shows what their max bid is.

I do not see “follow” on any of the items that are listed. It was easily visible on the old site. Are my aging eyes fooling me?  Edit:  Found it

The suggested price algorithm has always incorporated partial boxes into the pricing, which it does by figuring out the per-stick price. The issue with it at the moment is to do with it not always bringing back the correct box for comparison. We're working on it.

I'm guessing you're on a fairly recent model iPhone - it's to do with the way that the iPhone handles images in HEIC format. We have a fix, just doing some further testing on it but should be deployed in the next few days.

Sorry to hear that and hope to have things a bit more sorted in the next week or two.

That said, it goes without saying that our highest priority for fixes are anything that affects the sale. In the event that you were financially disadvantaged by a technical issue we would figure out what needs to happen to make right.

For both of these - yeah this is an issue I’ve found to be frustrating. If you are scrolling through results and say you click on a listing to look at details and then go back, sometimes it will bring you back to your place but more often you lose all of your search parameters and sorting. This leads to having to either set up the parameters multiple times or just scroll through everything. Both scenarios miss the mark.

This is another one I’ve struggled with. When I log in, 90% of the time I want to get right to the listings. Instead there are 5 large tiles to scroll past (they just take up unnecessary real estate) a hamburger menu which doesn’t contain “current auctions” or “current listings” and you have to scroll down to “featured listings” (by the way, why isn’t it just called “listings”?) then I have to click “view all” then I have to go to “advanced”…So it’s already a session with longer navigation than it should be, and then when issue #1 above happens, you then lose all your filters and sorts.

Completely agree. I raised this previously. “show all” should be low hanging fruit, especially since it’s universal on basically every website where stuff is listed for sale. I hate having to click numbers at the bottom and page loads. Just give me the option to see everything.

A few more items I don’t think I’ve seen raised yet:

 

1) the “delivery to my address” doesn’t work as intended. I think it randomly eliminates listings from the results (or the logic it uses just isn’t obvious) and keeps results that shouldn’t be there. Many times I’ve used it, I get all the CoH Hong Kong listings (I’m in the US) and they even say on the listings “shipping not available to you”

**11/11 update - this has worked properly the last two days so unless anyone else sees this after 11/11, I dont believe this is an issue any longer**

2) the sort by “recently listed” doesn’t work properly. It’s another sorting/filtering issue that I haven’t noted what logic it uses, but I’ll see the same listings appear at the top for days and new ones are randomly inserted in the results.

3) when doing *advanced* search, there is no option to sort the results (e.g., ending soon, recently listed, etc) 

4) Also when doing advanced search, there is no count of results. E.g., when you look at all listings, it shows you how many there are. When you use advanced search it should show you how many meet your criteria.

To the above, I believe you have to hit search. On iOS mobile, I used to be able to open a new tab for listings I wanted to check out. Haven’t figured out a way to do this and as mentioned when I click into something it wipes out all my search parameters.
