Davidoff Launches its Grande Humidor in Two Finishes

October 4, 2025 - Press Release

Davidoff Cigars presents its latest innovation: the Grande Humidor. Handcrafted in Italy from ebony and okoumé wood, it impresses with its generous dimensions. The humidor offers a safe home for up to 140 cigars. Passionados can choose between a matte and a glossy finish.

The Grande Humidor will particularly appeal to lovers of larger cigar collections. “I am delighted to present the new Davidoff Grande Humidor to our passionados,” says Edward Simon, CSMO at Oettinger Davidoff. ” With its fascinating ebony exterior—a precious material known for its deep, rich tones and refined elegance—this humidor pays homage to Italian craftsmanship. It not only offers connoisseurs ample space for their cigars, but also an attractive value proposition that is rarely found in this quality and size class.”

The exterior of the humidor is made of Gabon ebony with a black-brown grain that varies from piece to piece. Inside, odorless okoumé wood and two Davidoff De Luxe regulators provide storage for up to 140 cigars. A removable basket with wooden dividers makes organization easy.

The grain is created by assembling selected veneers, revealing a mirror pattern. Each humidor is varnished and sanded five times before receiving a matte or glossy finish. Despite its size, it remains discreet in design and blends into a variety of interiors.

Dimensions: 480 × 280 × 200 mm | 18.9 × 11.02 × 7.87 inches
The new Davidoff Grande Humidor will be available as of 23 October 2025 at select Davidoff appointed merchants and flagship stores around the world.

How apropos; it will be the rich man’s way to house his overpriced and very average cigars.

Davidoff has a bunch of overpriced stuff but I wouldn't go as far as saying they're all overprice and average. I've got some pretty crazy deals on Davidoff/Zino Platinum Scepter Grand Masters, ~$5 a stick, I bought around 100 when I found them for that cheap, perfect stick to give friends. Davidoff Millennium and Anniversary series is really smooth if you find them on sale and like more mild flavors. Full price 100% I'd never pay, but they've got some good stuff and construction is amazing always with Davidoff, no worry of plugging, etc. Davidoff and Opus are the only NW cigars I buy and smoke. They both have their place IMO.

I agree they have their place - however, even you stated you buy them when on sale. They are overpriced cigars for what you end up smoking. I’m pretty certain I’m not alone on this - though perhaps most won’t vocalize it like I will. For literally half the price of your average Davidoff, you could smoke an arguably equal - if not better - Padrón x000 series smoke. Should you want to spend ~equal money, the higher end Padrón will -IMO -blow them away in every aspect.
***Of course, taste is always subjective…and so is perception.
