Padron is already highly sought after in Germany and this new partnership will make Padron more popular than ever. 1

That’s not to be expected. This is a simple restructuring of one of the biggest premium NC-importers to Germany, in that families Kohlhase and Kopp parted ways two years ago. By and by splitting and consolidating the old customers/suppliers portfolio between them. Padrón has long been and will continue to be readily available in Germany. The effect on the consumer, mostly ignorant of and unaffected by the industry structure, will be null. Sales could get a boost if prices would come back down to sensible regions. But as per now, for Padrón they seem to closely follow a “Cuban” pricing policy scheme. So, this is a press release that’s pretty irrelevant to most German consumers, to 99 percent of folk on this forum and to a 100 percent of US smokers. You wonder why Halfwheel even picks up on this (and that in simply copying the PR without some basic journalistic input by shedding some light on the business background). 3

A Cuban pricing “scheme”,so Padron has quadrupled prices and has inmates rolling cigars at “Laguito”.🤣 1
