BG318 Posted September 24, 2025 Posted September 24, 2025 Going to Nola this weekend to fatten up (further), try to find Forrest Gump, and listen to some jazz. I'm looking for a lounge to have a cigar and would appreciate any suggestions. Another driving road trip (woo hoo).
CeeBee Posted September 25, 2025 Posted September 25, 2025 Crescent City Cigar Shop is pretty decent with selection and pricing. Smoking lounge and the owner Orlando from the Boogie Down Bronx, New York is a great guy. I visited a couple years back but still had a great time then and I believe that the owner is still the same. I stayed near there in the French Quarter. The address is 730 Orleans St, New Orleans, LA 70116. Hope you have a good time. If your taste in cigars so desires, I saw the owner smoking an Opus X so I asked where they were and he got me down the box from the top shelf. 1
BG318 Posted September 27, 2025 Author Posted September 27, 2025 Thanks! I usually just walk around and smoke outside in New Orleans but I'm going to check this one out today. I appreciate the advice!
griller Posted September 27, 2025 Posted September 27, 2025 New Orleans is a great cigar town in the tourist areas (especially the Quarter). I've never had anyone give me the stink eye walking around with a cigar in the open areas or trekking up/down the Quarter or Riverfront. If anything my tobacco smoke is much more pleasant than some of the other odors you're going to pick up. Lounge-wise, I can't recall any off the top of my head that were particularly cigar friendly per se. Not sure about Frenchmans Street and those bars either. Would like to hear back from you after the visit.
BG318 Posted September 27, 2025 Author Posted September 27, 2025 Stuck to the streets. Lounges closed too early. 3
