So I was planning on listing a CoRo box from UAO 19 on Bond Roberts but when I was taking black light pics of the CHB codes, I noticed they were different. Some codes are the same, some aren't. Now, I know the first thing everybody asks about is provenance--and it's a box from XXXXX trusted vendor. I personally don't have any questions about authenticity and this box was bought during the era of 'trust your vendor,' which I do. And to be honest, I never bothered to check CHB codes because I'm not even too sure who was doing that back in late 19, but it certainly wasn't me. And even if I did notice, at the time I probably wouldn't have thought too much about it because I've owned boxes w/o bands, boxes w/o box codes, tubo boxes that were missing cigars in the tubo, sealed tubo boxes that were missing some tubos, boxes missing inserts, PL Robo Asia 08 w/ PL Magnifico inserts, HU Connie 1 w/ Bolivar bands, 2016 QdO corona w/ the old bands, and boxes where color matching QC was non-existent (think boxes of claro claro w/ some random oscuro mixed in), and thats just the things I can think of off the top of my head. Mixed CHB codes would've been white noise at the time.

But in this new era of hyper-vigilance, what do you fine people of FOH think about something like this? Would this be too suspicious for you to purchase at today's prices? Any guesses how this happened? I'm all ears.

It would be nice to post a photo.

Absolutely. Post a few pics and we will kick this around a little.

Interesting. While I certainly have not checked every Cohiba box I own to see if the CHB codes match up I know I've checked multiple sticks from the same cab and never recall having different CHB codes. It'd be interesting to see a few photos if you have a chance.

What is a CHB code?  When I looked up "CHB codes" on the google machine, box code was the answer. That doesn't sound like the question that is being asked since ultraviolet light is being used to verify. Is the question referring to the UV numbers on the cigar bands?
