Popular Post Çnote Posted September 4, 2025 Popular Post Posted September 4, 2025 @Capn_Jackson and I (and a couple others) did a split of 50 of these on 1st release. I fear in retrospect I shouldn't have shared. The wrapper and cold draw centered on toasted marshmallows and graham crackers. Light creme, baking spice. Fades into mushroom powder and what can only be described as 'twang,' not as rich and unyielding as in a CC with all cylinders firing, but certainly there. The breeze today is stiff and makes setting this down a gamble. Burn line like a razor but with slightly clumpy ash. Intensity skyrockets going into 2nd third, savory mushroom duxelle, sweet and rich on the palate. Mouth coating velvet. Ash is firmer. Traces of paprika or something in that family, my retrohale is still offline. Well into the 3rd third, power ratchets up, texture is in the flan zone, thick and creamy with a touch of burnt sugar. I only notice I'm at the nub with a transition to sweet crunchy peppers. A touch of espresso and my fingertips are burning anyway. A tour-de-force. If you're new here, get on the bandwagon and hit up the F5 selection. Your only regret will be in not getting enough. Spellbinding 93 and I don't like this vitola, I only smoke skinnies to be cool like Jackson 😎 8
SCgarman Posted September 4, 2025 Posted September 4, 2025 It is a very good cigar, and maybe my favorite blend out of all the sizes I have tried so far. Very enjoyable. 2
Hoosh Posted September 4, 2025 Posted September 4, 2025 I just tried one for the first time and thought it was a really good cigar. I didn’t get any “power” from this cigar, more just barely medium in strength, but awesome nonetheless. 🙂 1
qs210 Posted September 4, 2025 Posted September 4, 2025 Looking forward to trying this. I ordered some this week. 1
Popular Post Capn_Jackson Posted September 9, 2025 Popular Post Posted September 9, 2025 Once upon a time, almost 30 years ago, I used to smoke cigars with a homeless man named Red. Red kept busy as a member of the Riverfront Blues Society in my hometown, and was a real character. He had a distinct way of wording things. A good cigar was always a “Unicorn horn!” to dear old Red. Gotta say, the Ninfas have been, and continue to be, unicorn horns. As much as I like the Spada Gorda, and I like it a lot, I think the Ninfa might be even a better stick. Pictures aren’t coming out. It’s dark and the porch light isn’t on. You’ll have to trust me. Upon light up, loads of steamed café crème and black cherry sweetness. Some spiced raisin with powdered sugar on top. Currently mounting the back of a mythical, beautiful creature here. Going on into the meat of this stick, there is plenty of dark fruit sweetness, as well as a blatant pandering to the nutmeg lovers amongst us. Honeyed cashew and cream, and faint whisps of cheese funkiness. Loving this stick! Strength builds as we go on, the unicorn trying to buck me off. Around the midpoint, much more earthy. The fruity note becomes almost orange peel, but with a dusting of crushed almond. Cappuchino. Maybe faint whisps of hay, but definite forest floor funk sitting over everything. Great stuff! The last act here is groovy molasses and coffee, but occasionally more like a custard. More than a fair bit of mushroom, and lots of baking spice. Anise, stewed raisins, and finally just molasses at the nub. Great construction, kudos to our wonderful team! Strength did ratchet up in the last half a bit, but really just over medium. Total unicorn horn! 4 1
