Wookie Posted August 29 Posted August 29 Another foregone conclusion as to the finalists? Looks that way if they stay healthy. Sinner may be unstoppable on hard courts.
chasy Posted August 29 Posted August 29 I think Alcaraz's win over Sinner at Roland Garros was an anomaly. Hard to think Sinner doesn't take the whole thing at Arthur Ashe. 2
Wookie Posted August 29 Author Posted August 29 I’ll take Alcaraz on clay all day…that’s his native soil. Sinner is best on hard court. They are clearly the big two now. The German dude who’s #3 cannot keep up with those two. 1
JohnS Posted August 30 Posted August 30 World No.3 Alexander Zverev is not in the same league as Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz. In fact, apart from Novak Djokovic (who is now ranked No.7), none of the other men in the World's Top 10 have won a Grand Slam. It seems inevitable, yes...that Sinner and Alcaraz will be in this year's Final. 2
Wookie Posted August 30 Author Posted August 30 Shapovalev v Sinner 3 round. Shapovalev making this very interesting…the guy can really play.

I like everything about Sinner, except the whole doping scandal and subsequent slap on the wrist. Can't root for the guy now…
