No bother at al! I did not wet the shelves at all. But I did take a clean cloth and just wiped down all the wood to get any factory dust off the wood. Some did come off. Then I set my unit to 70F and 70%RH and let it season empty for 10 days. There is a lot of wood in that humidor and (regardless of what Raching says) did not want to take the chance of dry wood sucking any moisture from my boxes. It was a painful wait, lol...

Bought the same a few months ago. After trying a few temperature variations, I’ve settled in on close to the PigFish variation of 70F/62RH.
