Multiconcept restaurant coming to Cockeysville this fall

Yorktowne Social, a multiconcept dining and entertainment destination, is set to open in Cockeysville this fall.

Owner Jim Trujillo told The Baltimore Sun that the establishment will have five areas: a fine dining, farm-to-table restaurant with food that is “traditional Maryland meets the Mediterranean”; a more contemporary dining area with small plates; a game room; a cigar and bourbon bar; and an outdoor patio.

Guests will also be able to reserve a podcast booth, he said.

“We have a variety of concepts under one roof, and we’re really excited,” Trujillo said.

Set to open at 88 Cranbrook Road in the Yorktowne Plaza, the restaurant has promised to bring “something entirely new to Northern Baltimore County,” on social media pages.

Trujillo said he hopes his business will bring people together, from 21-year-olds to 60-year-olds, to catch up with old friends and make new ones.

Reservations are coming soon, according to a post, along with membership information. Members will get special perks for events.

The restaurant is hiring through on-the-spot interviews this week and held a hiring event earlier this month. Trujillo said he plans to employ about 80 people.

“Come and eat, drink and celebrate life. That’s really what we’re about,” he said.

This is promising for Maryland. Neighboring Virginia is comparatively tobacco friendly and has many establishments where food and drink and smoking are intertwined. Hopefully this is the start of a similar trend for my state!
