Çnote Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago @Capn_Jackson Jackson smoked this one on the fly, but it was in the Duo box and short, perfect for a midnight smoke. I've heard this is a T110 blend with a Corojo wrapper. I also see Tatuaje is releasing a corojo Cohotes later this year. Rg is more cohotes, but we'll see. Smells like the highest quality barnyard you get in tobacco & cote de nuits. I'm excited. Immediate rush of flavor, with that -hesitation- of driving at 40 when you know 135 is possible with this engine. Gobs of sweet leather and a tinge of spice. This is way young and wet for me. This particular thing is popular in certain circles and I've picked a few up that came 72%+, I'm pretty sure Jackson smoked one that came from a different source, but this is very pedantic and as such very on brand for me lately. It's burning a little crooked and smoking a little hot, even when setting down for extended times, that's all I'm getting at. Ash is a rock and I tap it off before I baptize myself. Lip smacking for sure. Big big flavors. I'm reminded of the T110 fresh in 2021, which really turned my head on Tatuaje. Before that, I wasn't really a fan, mainly as I didn't really connect with the Monster series emotionally. Maybe somewhat jealous as they were so hard to even consider bothering with. A different time, certainly. The leather crackles in such a way that I'm thinking of the huge chicarrones at the Mexican deli. Spices are so intense it's cinnamon mole, or homemade drinking chocolate, rock sugar and tree bark and soul searching cocoa, so thick it coats. It's getting more intense. Very T110. Touches of flan. Ole! Mucho Mexicano! That ancho pork loin that's haunted my recent Tatuaje tasting notes is back as well. I'm almost to the hiccup stage of intensity. Cerdo y Rajas. Grandma cooking for grandpa. Maybe some mushrooms in the sauce too. Anything for grandpa. It's not letting up, just a slow ratcheting up every puff or so. I'm slowing down as it's delicious, but so wet it's a little bothersome with hot smoke. Velvety, but thick and searing. Some bitter coffee at the 1/2in mark. I struggle with burning my fingertips and my lips are numb. It's really fabulous, I rarely think about 'needing' a nubber or a pipe but here we are. 92 today and 95+ down the road. The last time I enjoyed a smoke this much, it was an E2. 👀 You were right, Jackson! 2
