A powerful hotel chain that has expanded its presence in Cuba for decades has acknowledged a difficult situation with "no clear signs of improvement" in the first quarter of 2025. 

Through a report on the results of its operations on the island during the first months of the year, the company reveals that Cuba was the only exception to the rule in terms of revenue .

The reality was very different in the other countries where the hotel chain operates, which performed positively overall when compared to the results for the same period in 2024.

The report published by the Spanish hotel group Meliá Hotels International shows a negative outlook in Cuba, where the company has more than 30 facilities throughout the country.
