BoliDan Posted Thursday at 11:00 PM Posted Thursday at 11:00 PM I've been disappointed by spilling ash all over myself enough times that I just tap it all the time. 4
TacoSauce Posted Thursday at 11:43 PM Posted Thursday at 11:43 PM I enjoy seeing how long the ash will hold. However, if a cigar is giving me trouble, I ash immediately in order to inspect the structure of the burning end and to look for issues. Tonight was my third Carlotta from a 5-pack. Great construction and tremendous smoke output. I made it this far before the ash fell off. 4
nicdop Posted Friday at 12:07 AM Posted Friday at 12:07 AM Sometimes trying, sometimes just giving up on the ash. I mean, it's pleasant to see but while doing something it's impossible sometimes to focus on that, so before creating a mess around me I just keep it clean. 2
Popular Post Jkopacz59 Posted Friday at 01:23 AM Popular Post Posted Friday at 01:23 AM Cohiba Siglo VI Paired With Penelope Toasted Barrel Bourbon... Some say keeping the ash on your cigar is just for show or a friendly competition among aficionados. Others argue it helps regulate the burn and enhances flavor by insulating the foot. And of course, there are those who claim it does more harm than good, potentially turning the cigar bitter the longer the ash remains. Personally, I don’t find that it changes the flavor much either way. For me, keeping the ash intact is part of the ritual, something cool to admire, and a little challenge between myself and the cigar (or even friends). This Cohiba Siglo VI had a consistent burn and held a beautiful ash. The flavor profile delivered notes of creamy earthiness, cedar, white pepper, and a subtle hint of vanilla. It was a medium-bodied smoke with excellent smoke output, smooth and flavorful from start to finish. Paired with Penelope Toasted Barrel Straight Bourbon Whiskey, a bold 116 proof pour, this pairing brought everything together. The bourbon’s notes of marshmallow, toasted oak, barrel char, and vanilla complemented the cigar’s creamy and woody character beautifully. Together, the Siglo VI and Penelope Toasted Barrel create a well-balanced pairing, luxurious, rich, and deeply satisfying. Yes, that’s a new bottle because I finished the original one while making this review !! Cheers !! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 9
Popular Post ryre Posted Friday at 01:32 AM Popular Post Posted Friday at 01:32 AM Nothing I enjoy more than the challenge of trying to brush ash off my shirt and pants without rubbing it into the fabric. 2 4
Popular Post Mike Mecklenburg Posted Friday at 01:51 AM Popular Post Posted Friday at 01:51 AM I like to pay attention to the ash, it reminds me to pace myself. I smoked this great burning/tasting Connie 2 (GEM January 2022) last week. 6 1
Popular Post Li Bai Posted Friday at 05:30 AM Popular Post Posted Friday at 05:30 AM It all depends on how much I love the clothes I'm wearing at the time I'm smoking 🤔 Of course it would be a different story if you all had helped those geniuses (I'm sorry I can't recall the names...) in funding the cigar bib adventure but you were too busy making fun of them 😁 2 6

No surprise that they failed to reach their Kickstarter goal! 1 9
Popular Post Goldeneye Posted Friday at 02:01 PM Popular Post Posted Friday at 02:01 PM Never a goal or intention when starting a cigar, but kind of reminds me to slow down and enjoy the moment for some reason. 6

Popular Post Lucas Buck Posted Friday at 06:20 PM Popular Post Posted Friday at 06:20 PM I very rarely ash. Only while driving or other situations where I might make a mess outside my environs. Long ashes are pleasing to me. 6

Popular Post TacoSauce Posted Friday at 08:09 PM Popular Post Posted Friday at 08:09 PM 2023 Galanes. Most of the sticks from this box have a strong Damascone, floral flavor. When I first encountered this flavor I was intrigued and delighted by the novelty. That delight has worn off and now I am disgusted by the flavor and the bitter profile it accompanies. Great ash though! It didn't fall until the half-way point. 7
treberty Posted Friday at 09:04 PM Posted Friday at 09:04 PM This is the typical max for me before I brush it off. 3

TacoSauce Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago A Black Label Trading Co. Salvation Toro today. This stick is way too big for me, but the flavor delivery was nice. Ash fell off shortly after this pic was taken. 3
treberty Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago My second Sindicato cigar in 2 days. Didn’t know the brand until someone gifted me a sampler pack. Really enjoying these. 3
