barrygoodvibes Posted Wednesday at 05:12 PM Posted Wednesday at 05:12 PM Cigar Name: Quai D'Orsay No.50 Cigar Length: Petite Robusto Date Smoked: 2025-06-25 Draw Rating: 5/5 Appearance Rating: 5/5 Burn Rating: 5/5 Aroma Rating: 3.5/5 Taste Rating: 3/5 Overall Rating: 3.5/5 Blend: Mild Visual Notes: Perfect. I smoked two one had a light wrapper and one a dark wrapper. Both are perfectly assembled with invisible seams, just a completely smooth wrapper and perfectly packed. Cold Draw: On the lighter wrapper one I got a little bit of cedar hay and a tiny bit of honey, but it was really weak. On the darker rapper I got raisins and oaky toasted tobacco. My hopes were high. First Third: On the lighter one I just got a lot of cedar and hay with maybe a tiny bit of honey. On the darker one I got oak and maybe a little bit of graham cracker and chocolate, but the flavors are very faint. Second Third: Second third is a little better. It’s a little stronger, but the flavors are just one dimensional, these flavors are similar to a Hoyo de Monterey a epicure number two but on the E2 you get a lot more flavor and it’s much more delicious. Last Third: More of the same, just nothing special here very one-dimensional. Smoking Duration: 60 minutes Construction: This is where the cigar really shined. I had a perfect burn line, perfect white ash that does not fall off. It is perfectly packed and the draw is perfection, if only the flavor was there, this would be a perfect cigar. Review: I really want to like the cigar, the second one I smoked for this review had a dark wrapper and it was just perfect looking. On the cold draw I got some raisins / dried fruit flavors, but on the light it’s really just a one-dimensional cigar with weak flavors; a little hint of graham cracker or chocolate here and there, but it’s very mild and lacking in flavor and I will not reach for this or buy more. What are your thoughts? What is your favorite vitola form QDO? Any with some stronger flavor profiles in your experience? I am curious to try a 52. (I know this Marca is meant for the French who like a mild cigar) 😂 2
