Were cigar piercers used for the same puprose as todays draw pokers or were they solely used to hold a cigar via a spike? Popular Post Bijan Posted May 29 Popular Post Posted May 29 I think they were used in a similar fashion to a punch. From Cigar Aficionado: https://www.cigaraficionado.com/glossary/piercer " Piercer A cutter with a pointed, sharp end used to pierce a small hole in the closed end of a cigar. Also called a lance. Lances and piercers are relatively uncommon today." 1 5
